The Mountain View School District will operate as follows for the rest of the week: Mountain View High and Middle Schools will be virtual only with no on site instruction; meals for Mountain View High and Middle schools for this week will be distributed at the teardrop tomorrow from 9 A.M. until 1 P.M.; Mountain View Elementary will be blended learning where students can attend in person or via Google classroom: Mountain View Pre-K will be open as usual; Timbo Schools and Rural Special Schools will be blended learning where students can attend in person or via Google classroom; For those students attending in person, all school services will be provided and buses will run. MVES - Due to inclement weather, Mountain View Elementary, along with our district schools, will implement a virtual/remote learning day tomorrow, Monday, December 14. Students will work from Google Classroom and/or packets. If a student did not pick up their Chromebook and/or packet, we will make the work up when they return. Meals for those students for the week can be picked up at the teardrop Tuesday, December 15th from 9 A.M. until 1 P.M. ONLY Mountain View Middle and High School will pivot to virtual learning, no other school in the district will be affected. Thank You.

MVES - Mountain View Elementary will continue with Blended Learning next week on Monday through Thursday, December 14-17. If a student has been learning from home, parents need to return all completed packets tomorrow, Friday, December 11. Parent will also pick up next week’s packet for students in Grades K-3. 4th Grade will continue to work only in Google Classroom. Meals for next week will also be available for pick up tomorrow, Friday, December 11. Lunches and packets may be picked up from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 18 is our scheduled Distance Learning Day. The week of Monday, December 14th through Friday the 18th, the Mountain View School District will continue to be in a "Blended Learning" format. Students will have the option of being a virtual student via Google Classroom on their chrome books or attend in person. For those students that attend in person, all services will be provided, breakfast and lunch will be served and buses will run a normal schedule. Meals for next week's virtual students will be distributed at the following locations and times. Mountain View Elementary in front of the elementary school from 9 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Mountain View Middle and High Schools at the teardrop from 9 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Timbo Schools in front of the cafeteria from 9 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Mountain View School District would like to thank Save the Children for allowing us to distribute 770 food boxes, Flatwoods Baptist Church for the use of their parking lot, and the many volunteers that helped during the distribution last Friday. The boxes were filled with fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and dairy products. We will continue to distribute through the month of December. MVES - Blended Learning Day Reminders: *Students may attend school on campus or may learn from home. *Buses will run regular routes. *Students who choose not to attend school on campus are required to do the following: 1. Log into your Google Classroom each school day. (Teachers may require students to be present online at a specific time for an activity.) 2. Complete and properly submit assignments on time. 3. Contact teacher(s) via email or Google Classroom with any questions. 4. Check student school email account throughout the day for updates or responses from the teacher(s). *Students who are working from home and do not complete their work may be counted absent and may receive a zero (0) for each incomplete assignment. Students who are completing assignments on time and with appropriate effort will not be counted absent. *We are continuing assignments and tests as we would if we were in school. Assignments will be posted for all week. Students are responsible for completing and submitting all work on time. Students have practiced this in the classroom. Students are welcomed to attend school in person if they are not comfortable working at home. *The process of learning from home varies by teacher, grade level, and subject area. Please maintain communication with individual teachers. *Kindergarten students will only work on a paper packet.
