MVES - Who says there is no learning on a party day?!?! Not our 4th graders doing a super fun STEM Challenge- the longest paper chain contest!!
Students made the longest paper chain they could out of one sheet of construction paper and then measured to the nearest centimeter. Great job!!

MVES - Fourth graders worked hard to convince Santa that these “villains” should be moved to the “Nice List” using strong opinion writing. A big thanks to Mrs. Sutterfield for helping students create the villain masks that allowed them to get into character!!

MVES - Charles S. Schultz said, “Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone.” Jayce took this saying to heart and gave the bike he won to his friend, Wylie, whose bike had broken.

MVES - Congratulations to the winners in our annual Christmas Giveaway & a big THANK YOU to our Secret Santa who supplied every bike, helmet, & $100 gift card!!

The Mountain View School District Board of Education, at its regular meeting tonight, voted to make the wearing of masks optional in school buildings and at events on every campus. This will begin immediately.
However, Masks will continue to be mandatory on all school buses in the district.
Thank you.

Due to the Arkansas Department of Health and achi.net not updating Covid 19 data due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, the Mountain View School District will remain mask optional in all buildings across the district for the week of November 29 through December 3.
Masks will continue to be mandatory on all school buses, however.

The Mountain View School District will not be in session next week in observation of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Classes will resume on Monday, November 29 at 8 A.M.

The Mountain View School District will remain mask optional in buildings across the district for the week of November 15th through the 19th. Mask will continue to be mandatory on all buses, however.

MVES - Things “got out of hand” in 4th grade today while studying idioms. Mrs. Wilson was “bent out of shape” and Ms. Hughes’ “eyes popped out of her head” when “party pooper” Mrs. Bennett was upset with “copy cat” Mrs. Gilliam. But Ms. Sutton had “all eyes on her” and just smiled!

MVES - We were “blown away” when 4th grade showed off their “Idiom” style of phrases or expressions that have a different figurative meaning than the literal meaning!
